Some awful news came across the wire this Friday evening as it’s been reported popular porn star Shyla Stylez died.
Stylez, 35, was reportedly found dead on Friday afternoon.
The adult filmmaking community was reeling late Friday afternoon after many learned about the passing of longtime star Shyla Stylez, who was 35.
Details of her passing have not been discerned at post time; James Bartholet confirmed her death to XBIZ via text and said a statement would be issued tomorrow.
Social media on Friday was abuzz with words of sorrow over the news.
“At a loss for words. So sad that my old friend @MsShylaStylez has left us,” Alana Evans, adult star and APAG vice president, said on Twitter. “You were one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever known.”
Shyla Stylez (real name Amanda Friedland) first started in the adult industry as a webcam model and eventually moved on to movies, quickly becoming one of the most popular and in-demand names. She often appeared in scenes for websites like Naughty America and Brazzers.
Stylez won the Best New Starlet award in 2003 and Maxim named her one of the top 10 hottest porn stars of all-time in 2010. She was also inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2016.
It is currently not known how Shyla Stylez died, though more information is expected to be released in the coming days.
