Another Summer, another change of zip code for former Chicago Cubs ace Jeff Samardzija.
That’s because the former Notre Dame wide receiver, who was traded by the Cubs to the Oakland A’s come the last MLB trade deadline before signing with the Chicago White Sox in the offseason, is likely to be on the move again.
Such is the word from FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal who reports the player the Chicago White Sox are most likely to trade is Jeff Samardzija.
Sources: #WhiteSox in “listening mode.” Samardzija most likely to go; only potential free agent of significance. Team also could add.

While the move is likely to frustrate many on the South Side, we can understand it considering the playoffs seem a little out of reach (currently) for the White Sox who sit seven games out of the second Wild Card spot and 13 out of the division behind the Kansas City Royals.
There are always a significant amount of teams looking to add picthing, so there should be no shortage of suitors assuming the White Sox decide to pull the trigger and the MLB rumors are right.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have been one team rumored to have interest in a Jeff Samardzija trade. He’d certainly make for one heck of a third starter behind Clayton Kershaw and Zack Greinke.
