I’d imagine whomever came up with the idea to recreate popular songs with classroom instruments was laughed out of the Tonight Show building until Jimmy Fallon got wind of the suggestion.
I mean seriously – you have an incredibly popular singer with an even larger song appearing on your TV show and you ask them to sing it with classroom instruments? Just the premise sounds silly, let alone the execution.
Yet, it continues to work flawlessly and shows the genius of Jimmy Fallon, who last night sang ‘Hello’ with Adele while the classroom instruments (played by The Roots) banged around in the background.
And yes, as expected, it was fantastic.
