I certainly wouldn’t classify myself as a fan of Iggy Azalea, but damn, the girl certainly has been getting thrown through the mud lately.
From getting slammed by rival rappers like Nicki Minaj to getting blasted on Twitter, Iggy Igg has been taking her fair share of damage. Now it’s the turn of ESPN anchor Robert Flores, who for whatever reason, slammed Iggy Azalea on SportsCenter.
Speaking about Azalea’s boyfriend, Los Angeles Lakers guard Nick Young, Flores unleashed this nasty verbal dagger:
“And what did we learn? We learned that according to the Lakers’ Nick Young, a dolphin recently tried to kill him. So Nick while dolphins are trying to kill you, your girlfriend is trying to kill hip hop—let’s call it even, ok?”
Somebody get the aloe for that burn.
On one hand, you have to give it to Flores, that was some solid ether. But does Iggy Azalea really deserve it? I’ve certainly seen a lot less talented MC’s gain popularity and while Iggy is no MC Lyte, she’s not that bad either.
Either way, we’ve learned that Robert Flores is clearly the bawse of ESPN and you don’t mess with his hip hop.
