Celtics Could Attempt Trade For Andrew Wiggins?

Andrew Wiggins

The thought of the Minnesota Timberwolves trading Andrew Wiggins is mildly laughable to most, though perhaps not to everybody. I mean, Wiggins already was moved once – could he eventually be traded again? Perhaps to the Boston Celtics?

Sure, it’s an over the top suggestion and one that is very unlikely to ever occur, though David Aldridge of NBA.com doesn’t put anything past Boston Celtics general manager Danny Ainge. Combine that with their significant amount of assets and Aldridge opined the Celtics attempting to trade for Wiggins wouldn’t be completely shocking.

Just think what kind of trade the Philadelphia 76ers and Celtics could put together if, say, Philly got the first pick in the Draft and Boston was third. He could make a heck of an offer to Minnesota for, say, Andrew Wiggins, or to Orlando for Nic Vucevic or Aaron Gordon.

Keep in mind, this is just a hypothetical suggestion and by no stretch a suggestion that the Celtics are attempting to engaged the Wolves in a trade for Andrew Wiggins. Still, if Boston did end up with one of the top three picks and paired that with some of their other assets? You almost think the Timberwolves would at minimum have to listen considering the value.
