Doc Rivers Son Takes Shot At DeAndre Jordan, Mavs

DeAndre Jordan

Is that some salt in the air? Perhaps some sour grapes? Maybe as the son of Los Angeles Clippers coach Doc Rivers is none too happy his father’s starting center, DeAndre Jordan, is now his former starting center.

That’s because the veteran big man signed a massive contract with the Dallas Mavericks today – one of multiple big moves the Mavs are expected to make.

The deal has left the LA Clippers in serious need of a new center and left the son head coach Doc Rivers rather unhappy as he took a pretty nasty swipe at DeAndre Jordan this afternoon upon hearing about the NBA free agency news.

In fact, the son of the Clippers coach all but backhanded Dirk Nowitzki, Mark Cuban and Jordan suggesting that his former big man has no shot to win an NBA championship with the Mavs.

It’s a business and Doc Rivers understands that (as does his son), but it’s actually kind of nice not to see a guy sugar coating a move they’re unhappy with. Of course, taking a shot at Jordan and the Mavs probably wasn’t needed.
