Sure, DeMarcus Cousins can get a bit emotional from time to time but he’s not the first basketball player to have such outbursts and he won’t be the last. So why he continues to have such a poor reputation around the NBA is beyond me as he’s never been in trouble with the law and has continually been thrown to the wolves during his career with the Sacramento Kings.
Things finally started to look promising during Sacramento’s hot start to the season, though after Cousins became ill and missed a significant amount of time, things again fell apart and only spiraled out of control from there.
Needless to say, it’s been yet another frustrating season for DeMarcus Cousins who called the Kings season a ‘complete circus’.
“It’s been a circus, man. It’s been a complete circus,” Cousins said, when asked to describe this season. “We got off to a hot start. Unfortunately, I got sick, so it ruined the look of the team. I take some blame for that. I know for a fact, if I wouldn’t have gotten sick, things wouldn’t have happened the way it happened. It was no way it could. At the same time, a lot of it is not my fault and we all know why. But this has been a disappointing year.”
It’s hard to blame him, though, for all those salivating at the idea of a DeMarcus Cousins trade, you might want to put your tongue back in your back for now as the former Kentucky big man appears dedicated to the Kings.
How much longer he’ll remain loyal, especially if the struggles continue, is an unknown.
