Did Draymond Green Call Klay Thompson Loser After NBA Finals?

Draymond Green

After LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers won the 2016 NBA Championship, players like Stephen Curry and Draymond Green stayed on the floor to congratulate their opponent. Green even went as far as to wait for James to go through his celebration before embracing. But where was Klay Thompson?

Cameras captured Thompson, understandably unhappy, making his way towards the Golden State Warriors locker room once the final horn sounded – not really giving much in terms of congratulations to the Cavs.

That apparently didn’t sit well with Draymond, who essentially sub-tweeted Thompson during an interview with The Undefeated:

“I just knew that going to the locker room after the game wasn’t right. That’s what a loser does. I’m not a loser. They earned it. They took it from us. It’s right to tell them congratulations. I made sure I got to everybody. The coaching staff. The players. Security guys. Everybody. They earned it. They never quit. I just wanted to make sure I got to everybody.”

While Green didn’t call out Klay by name, it seems rather obvious that his comments were directed at one-half of the Splash Brothers.

Of course, Thompson has plenty to fire back at, considering it was Green’s recklessness that resulted in his Game 5 suspension and possibly costing the Dubs a chance at a repeat.
