Isaiah Thomas Recruits DeMarcus Cousins To Celtics

DeMarcus Cousins

If the Sacramento Kings don’t want DeMarcus Cousins, then the Boston Celtics do.

That’s the word from Celtics point guard Isaiah Thomas, who of course started his career with the Kings and was traded to Boston last season.

The pint-sized point guard took to social media on Tuesday night where he started recruiting DeMarcus Cousins to the Celtics on Instagram.

The only problem for Thomas and the Boston Celtics? It appears that most within the Kings franchise do want DeMarcus Cousins, sans head coach George Karl. Of course, Karl has no power in the situation (outside of angering Cousins) and Kings owner Vivek Ranadive and GM Vlade Divac have stated they will not trade their All-Star big man under any circumstances.

Also standing in the Celtics way is just about every other team in the NBA too, as all 29 other basketball franchises are sure to make a call to the Kings (if they haven’t already) in effort to trade for DeMarcus Cousins. That list includes the Lakers, who’ve reportedly offered the No. 2 pick.

Working in the Celtics favor is their youthful roster and amass of draft picks, but until the Kings are ready to pull the trigger it doesn’t look like there will be a DeMarcus Cousins trade.
