Kevin Durant Knew LaMarcus Aldridge Would Sign With Spurs

Life won’t be much different for Kevin Durant next season when he plays against fellow All-Star talent LaMarcus Aldridge, well, other than the fact that LA will now be a member of the San Antonio Spurs instead of the Portland Trail Blazers.

It’s a move that Kevin Durant was expecting, however, as he noted once Aldridge’s contract with the San Antonio Spurs became final.

Granted, very few, including Kevin Durant were shocked that LaMarcus Aldridge signed with the San Antonio Spurs considering they’ve been the favorites to sign for the former Blazers big man for weeks.

For what it’s worth, Durant didn’t sound any more worried that Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker have a new asset at their disposal, mostly because the Blazers will now only have Damian Lillard after losing Aldridge, Wes Matthews and Nic Batum (who earlier in the day fired some warning shots).

As you’ll recall, a few weeks back, Kevin Durant let the rest of the NBA know that things would be different when he returned healthy, a mildly subtle warning (if you will) to LeBron James and Stephen Curry.

Now the question begs – will Kevin Durant re-sign with the Oklahoma City Thunder after the upcoming season? Or create his own free agent spectacle?[/indeed-social-locker]
