Kevin Durant Wants Dion Waiters’ Locker Moved

Kevin Durant

What Kevin Durant wants, Kevin Durant gets so when he requested the Oklahoma City Thunder move Dion Waiters‘ locker, that’s exactly what happened.

Durant’s request wasn’t out of spite, but rather love as he wants Waiters locker – who was acquired from the Cleveland Cavaliers earlier this month – closer to he and Russell Westbrook in hopes of integrating him to the team.

Dion Waiters’ locker has been moved, per the request of Durant and Westbrook. They wanted him closer to them to help him get integrated.

Waiters’ locker previously was on the opposite side of the locker room, next to Reggie Jackson. (Lance Thomas’ old spot.)

Dion Waiters is no doubt a very talented guard, though at times seems to believe its his job to win a game and will happily go 1 on 5 to do so. Understandably, that’s something Durant and Westbrook are hoping to change for the former No. 4 overall pick who struggled coming off the pine with the Cavs.

It’s a nice gesture on the part of Kevin Durant and shows what type of leader he’s become over the past few years. Will it help? That remains to be seen though there’s little risk in such and spending more time with the Oklahoma City Thunder’s franchise players can only be seen as a good thing.
