For years – actually two decades – people have wondered who exactly The Notorious B.I.G. was talking about in his iconic song ‘I Got A Story To Tell’ when he suggested he was knocking the bottom out of some New York Knicks’ wife. Many assumed it to be either the girlfriend/wife of John Starks, Allan Houston or Marc Jackson – some even suggested Patrick Ewing – though nobody really knows. Until now, that is, thanks to Fat Joe.

Previously Starks appeared on ESPN’s ‘Highly Questionable’ and said the song was not about him, but rather one of hew New York Knicks teammates. He refused to name the said basketball player.

That changed today when Joe appeared on ‘Highly Questionable’ and was asked by Bomani Jones and Dan Le Batard who exactly Biggie’s ‘I Got A Story To Tell’ was about.

The answer?

Anthony Mason.

Some had previously suggested Mason was the subject of the song and Fat Joe did go back and hint it was a ‘strong rumor’ after he finally gave up the answer so many wanted to know.

Few are more credible on the situation considering the extremely tight relationship between Joe and the Notorious B.I.G. so it appears we finally have our answer on what New York Knick ‘I Got A Story To Tell’ is about.
