It appears as if all the NBA teams are pulling out their star players when it comes to recruiting free agents.
We’ve already heard the San Antonio Spurs will have Tim Duncan (and possibly others like Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili) attempt to lure LaMarcus Aldridge to The Alamo. The Houston Rockets plan to do the same with James Harden and Dwight Howard.
Now Kobe Bryant will do the same when the Lakers speak with LaMarcus Aldridge, this according to Sam Amick:
As Lakers prepare for meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge tonight, I’m told Kobe Bryant is expected to take part. Not definite, but that’s plan.

It’s an obvious marketing strategy on the part of both Kobe Bryant and the Lakers and honestly, one that needs to be made, even with Kobe’s looming retirement coming as soon as next season.
Of course, if the Los Angeles Lakers were to sign LaMarcus Aldridge, he’d just be one of a few pieces the franchise will add over the next offseason or two as they attempt to compliment their young roster of Julius Randle, D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and more.
We’ll see just how persuasive Kobe Bryant is depending on where LaMarcus Aldridge signs. Will it be with LA, who is rumored to be the favorite?
