NBA Finals: Top 10 Plays From Game 1s

NBA Finals NBC

With the Golden State Warriors set to host the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, ESPN decided they would go back through the basketball vaults and find some of the best plays from Game 1’s.

You typically don’t associate such tilt’s with a lot of amazing plays considering many Game 1’s are sloppy thanks to the layover and don’t have the ‘importance’ of a game deep in the series.

But that doesn’t mean there haven’t been some memorable moments which include superstars like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Allen Iverson, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O’Neal and more.

As expected, there are a lot of Chicago Bulls moments in the top ten list, but that’s because they spent so much time in the Finals during the early and mid 1990’s.

So what came away with the top honor? I wont spoil it – you can check it out here.

Agree with the top selection? Think somebody else should have been over MJ and Karl Malone‘s missed free throw?

I know one thing – Byron Russell has to hate this time of year because the poor guy – despite playing very solid defense throughout his career – is the poster boy for getting abused come the NBA Finals.

I've written on a lot of your favorite websites while I live in my mother's basement. If you only knew what a hard time I'm having holding these alligators down. Woo. | Twitter: @GuyHut | FB: @GuyHutSports
