NBA Rumors: Atlanta Hawks Interested In Ray Allen

Ray Allen

The Cleveland Cavaliers have previously shown interest in signing Ray Allen, as have the Washington Wizards. So it only makes sense the Eastern Conference’s best team do so as well, right?

According to the AJC, that’s exactly what’s happening as the Atlanta Hawks are interested in Ray Allen.

The Hawks have had discussions with representatives for free agent Ray Allen but nothing is imminent, according to a person familiar with the discussions.

Allen has not played since finishing last season with the Heat. He has reportedly received interest from several teams.

The two looming questions about signing Ray Allen are his price tag/willingness to play for the Hawks and potentially disrupting the current team chemistry which appears to be perfect.

Allen hasn’t exactly shown much eagerness to come back to the NBA as he currently sits at home, though perhaps he wasn’t overly enamored with the Cavs and Wizards situations. Might that change if the Hawks come calling? It’s possible, though currently an unknown.

The veteran sharpshooter would certainly be a fine addition and it makes sense as to why the Atlanta Hawks are interested in Ray Allen, though we’ll have see if the feelings are mutual in the coming days/weeks.
