NBA Rumors: Kings Will Trade DeMarcus Cousins For Michael Jordan

DeMarcus Cousins

Are you an NBA team looking to acquire a franchise big man? Then you probably have your eyes set on Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins.

The former Kentucky star has been continually rumored to potentially be on the block despite no desire from the Kings to trade the All-Star. But with Vlade Divac now heading up the front office after former GM Pete D’Alessandro was left, there have been NBA rumors suggesting teams will attempt to pry Cousins away from the Kings.

Not happening, unless you have an in-prime Michael Jordan. You know, Michael Jordan from the Chicago Bulls.

That’s the word from Vlade Divac himself who says no trade will be happening.

Per TNT’s David Aldridge:

Me: So you wouldn’t entertain any offers for (Cousins) at this time?

VD: Well, if it’s Michael Jordan there, I’ll think about it. (Laughs)

I guess that puts to bed the DeMarcus Cousins trade rumors to the Lakers, Celtics and any other team interested in the big man.

Or does it?!

That seems to be the likely scenario, but the Kings also aren’t going to come out and say they’re going to trade DeMarcus Cousins. That said, there’s really little reason for the Sacramento Kings to make such a move and it’s likely they won’t.

Of course, that doesn’t mean teams will stop trying.
