When it comes to the Miami Heat, few are more proud of the organization than super-fan rapper Rick Ross. I mean, the guy does have their logo tattooed on his face, so when he speaks you have to listen (or something like that).
TMZ caught up with the South Beach based MC and spoke about Chris Bosh‘s Heat, specifically about big man Hassan Whiteside who of course has come out of no place and dominated the NBA. It’s a situation very similar to that of Jeremy Lin a few years back with the New York Knicks, but according to Rick Ross, Hassan Whiteside is no Jeremy Lin.
Ross — who has a Miami Heat logo tatted on his FACE — tells TMZ Sports he’s FIRED UP about Hassan Whiteside … who essentially came out of nowhere to dominate for the Heat this season.
Ricky Rozay went on to suggest that Hassan Whiteside is the “real deal” and while that may be true, it seems a bit premature to crown the former second-round pick who was out of the NBA just a few short months ago.
But hey – who am I to judge. Maybe Rick Ross was a basketball scout in his prior life, you know, before he was a corrections officer.
