Thunder Rumors: Reggie Jackson Almost Traded To Nuggets

Reggie Jackson

It appears increasing clear that Reggie Jackson‘s time with the Oklahoma City Thunder is borrowed as the point guard is likely to be moved in the next few weeks before the NBA’s annual trade deadline.

That’s the word from Frank Isola who says Jackson was almost traded to the Denver Nuggets recently before the deal apparently fell through.

What exactly prevented the trade from going through is unknown, though obviously speculation is wondering who exactly the Oklahoma City Thunder would have received in return for trading Reggie Jackson.

The Thunder have made no secret about their desire to add a big man, so obviously JaVale McGee comes to mind though he’s more defensive minded in nature and doesn’t bring with him an ability to hit shots from the elbow, say like a Brook Lopez. Perhaps the Thunder would move Kendrick Perkins in such a deal allowing McGee to take his place, though that’s complete speculation at this point.

In addition to McGee, the Denver Nuggets have made other talent like Arron Afflalo available, though most appear interested in obtaining Kenneth Faried and Ty Lawson.

Whatever the case, it appears as if Russell Westbrook and company are likely to have a new teammate in the next few weeks as Reggie Jackson looks very likely to be moved.
