DeMarco Murray rumors: Star NFL running back wants to win Super Bowl with the Dallas Cowboys.
While the Dallas Cowboys have yet to commit to running back DeMarco Murray, the NFL’s leading rusher this past season has made one thing clear – he wants to re-sign with the franchise during the offseason.
Of course, what he wants and what the Cowboys can afford are two different things and given Dallas’ salary cap issues, Jerry Jones and company might be forced to pick between Murray and wide receiver Dez Bryant.
Whatever the case may be, DeMarco Murray wants to stay with the Cowboys and wants to win a Super Bowl.
Murray wants to be in Dallas but he also sounds like a man who is at peace with whatever happens in free agency. He said has great relationships with his Cowboys teammates and that won’t change no matter where he ends up.
Of course, if DeMarco Murray really wanted to re-sign with the Dallas Cowboys he’d simply do so at a team friendly salary. But there’s little reason for him to do so considering he can make a lot of money on the open market, so it’s hard to begrudge the franchise running back if he does leave in free agency.
In a perfect world the Cowboys would figure out a way to bring both he and Dez Bryant back, but as Jerry Jones previously suggested, that will be a challenge.
