Donald Trump Picks Peyton Manning To Be Super Bowl MVP

Peyton Manning

Just when you think you can get away from Donald Trump in the sports world, he injects himself into Super Bowl talk.

That’s because the Presidential hopeful picked Peyton Manning to be his Super Bowl 50 MVP over the likes of players like Cam Newton and Von Miller.

Per TMZ:

Donald was on “Face The Nation” this weekend — when he was asked for his stance on the Denver vs. Carolina game … and Trump was quick to explain why he’s going with Denver.

“I very much have always liked Peyton Manning,” Trump said … “He’s a very good guy. I know him. So I have to go with the person who I know.”

Trump says he knows the Panthers are the “hot team” — and Cam Newton is “doing great” … but when push comes to shove, he’s siding with his pal Peyton.

Nothing against Peyton Manning, but he didn’t exactly do much in the AFC Championship that would inspire such confidence which makes me believe Donald Trump really doesn’t watch much sports.

Not that I expected differently.

If you’re going to pick a Super Bowl 50 MVP, Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers is your far better option.

All that said, given this very likely could be Peyton Manning’s final game, it certainly would make for a great story.
