It’s been a busy week for the NFL and it appears some changes are coming for the 2015 season.
There won’t be any earth shattering decisions – no Indianapolis Colts there will not be a nine-point touchdown – but it appears there will be some possible changes to how points are scored.
According to Ian Rapoport, while nothing has been set in stone, it’s likely that defense’s will now be allowed to score on botched extra point/two-point conversation plays. Previously that has not been allowed, but it’s something that could be changed very soon.
NFL sounds like it’ll have a component of PAT where the defense can score. “Clear sentiment” change is coming to the PAT

That’s not the only possible change coming to the NFL rules either as now according to Charles Robinson, teams can open or close the retractable stadium roof during halftime.
Retractable roofs can now be opened or closed at halftime of #NFL games. That passed. Interesting.

As far as the expansion of the NFL playoffs, that is still on the back burner as the league is more concerned with the regular season currently according to Roger Goodell.
In addition, at least 20 football teams are currently being investigated for tampering from NFL free agency and ‘Deflategate’ is being investigated.
Goodell says the league is looking into “several” teams for anti-tampering window violations. I’ve heard more than 20. No word on penalties

Sure it is, sure it is.
