Seattle Seahawks Think Aaron Rodgers Calf Injury Is A Lie

Coming into Friday morning, the trash talk for the upcoming NFC Championship game between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks was limited. In fact, the only thing even uttered in the press was Packers running back Eddie Lacy being called overweight by Michael Bennett of the Seahawks.

That’s changing though as Seahawks All-Pro safety Earl Thomas says Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is fabricating his leg injury. Thomas isn’t going as far as to suggest Rodgers didn’t have an injury – we all saw him fall to the ground against the Detroit Lions in the season finale – but doesn’t believe it’s still hampering him.

“I’m not buying into this leg issue. I’m not buying into it. I saw (him) scramble close to the goal line against the Cowboys so he’s not fooling me with that,” stated Thomas.

He wasn’t the only member of the Seattle Seahawks to share a similar sentiment as defensive lineman O’Brien Schofield thinks Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are full of it.

“Honestly, I don’t believe it either.”

It’s not unheard of for a team to play up an injury only for the said player to look completely healthy once the game starts, so there’s plenty of reason for the Seahawks to believe the Packers are trying to pull a quick one.

We’ll see Sunday afternoon, though only Rodgers truly knows the severity of his injured calf.
