Tim Tebow Not Invited To NFL Veteran Combine But Michael Sam Is

Tim Tebow

There were rumors suggesting that Tim Tebow would like a chance to throw at the NFL veteran combine and was simply waiting for an invite. He’ll be waiting for the foreseeable future as the NFL didn’t extend such to the former New York Jets/Denver Broncos/New England Patriots quarterback.

Another name missing from the list is also fellow signal caller Vince Young, who like Tebow, had hoped for an invite to the football try out. Both were left off the list though, mildly shocking considering there aren’t very many big names participating.

One player who will draw attention however is that of Michael Sam, who previously was cut by the Dallas Cowboys off their practice squad.

Sam will be taking a break from ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to attend the event. The ABC show is set to premiere on March 16, just six days before the veteran combine.

Among the other notable players set to attend are running backs Felix Jones, Mikel Leshoure and Michael Bush, along with former first round picks Jamaal Anderson (No. 8 overall pick to Atlanta in 2007) and Adam Carriker (No. 13 overall pick to St. Louis in 2007).

Hopefully some of the players attending the NFL’s first veteran combine will have luck on their side and get a chance to play professional football yet again.
