Tom Brady Finally Admits What Age He Plans To Retire

Tom Brady

Despite looking like a shell of his former self for three quarters during Super Bowl 51, Tom Brady turned back the clock and put together the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history.

Some thought the New England Patriots quarterback could be getting close to hanging up the cleats, but the former NFL MVP says no way. At least, not anytime in the near future.

That said, Tom Brady did finally admit what age he plans to retire.

“I’d like to play until my mid-forties,” Brady said, according to The MMQB’s Peter King. “Then I’ll make a decision. If I’m still feeling like I’m feeling today, who knows? Now those things can always change. You do need long-term goals too. I know next year is not going to be my last year.”

Depending on what he calls ‘mid-40’s’ – it sounds like Tom Brady has at least another three or four years left in the tank.

How effective he’ll be towards the end remains unseen, especially since we’ve never really seen NFL players play football that long.

Regardless, Patriots fans have to be happy they’ll still have Brady under center for a few more seasons.
