Could Thunder Trade Reggie Jackson To Rockets For Terrence Jones?

Reggie Jackson

With under a month until the NBA’s trade deadline, the rumor mill is starting to churn and few players have been mentioned more than Reggie Jackson of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Many believe Jackson could be on his way out though where he’d go is anybody’s guess. The Lakers, Knicks and Kings have all been rumored as potential destinations, but what about the Houston Rockets? Could OKC trade Jackson to Clutch City for Terrence Jones?

Sounds a little far fetched on the surface, though Ric Bucher of Bleacher Report believes it’s a deal that could be out there for the taking.

It’s well known that the Thunder are in the market for another big man/stretch power forward. They’ve already had serious trade discussions centered around Brook Lopez, so Terrence Jones is an obvious fit. As for the Rockets though, do they really need Reggie Jackson? Especially at the cost of Jones? Jackson is a restricted free agent to be while Jones still has another year under contract before he’s in the same situation.

There’s no denying that Jackson is a good talent and any team would benefit from his addition, but the cost and fit might prohibit the Rockets and Thunder finding a middle ground.
